Berlin: Lawful Minimum Wage for Public Transport Security Staff

Berlin - The minimum wage for public transport security personnel in Germany has been raised to 12.00 euros per hour effective October 1, 2022. This marks a significant increase of approximately 75% due to the previous minimum wage adjustment on January 1, 2022.

The decision to advance wage renegotiation was prompted by the increase in the national minimum wage to 12.00 euros per hour on October 1, 2022. Following the implementation of the new minimum wage, the collective bargaining agreements of each state will apply accordingly.
